Submitting Images
I understand that your images exist in various formats.  You may have slides or transparencies of some, while others are digitally on a CD.  Maybe you want to make tiles from an original painting.  I've made it very easy for you to figure out what I need in order to make your tiles.  For each image, choose the scenario into which it fits.  Then simply follow the guidelines and suggestions to provide me with the required materials.

I have a slide or transparency.
Great!  Just mail it to me. For protection, place it between two pieces of cardboard before putting it in an envelope.  If you are nervous about sending it through the mail then try this:  Go to a photo lab and have them make you a glossy 5"x7" or 8"x10" print - you can mail that to me instead!

I have a digital image.
Fine!  However, there are some things to consider.  First of all, your image must have been either professionally scanned, or photographed from a tripod with proper lighting.  Hand-shot images from consumer digital cameras lack the image detail required for a high-quality reproduction.  In addition, each image must be accompanied by a color hard copy for color matching purposes.  Take your digital image to a photo lab and get a glossy 4"x6" that you can include with your digital file.  If you're good with the computer and have a decent printer, then you can make a print for me that way.  You may send your digital files on a CD or via email.

I have an original only.
O.K. - no problem!  You can mail it to me directly and I'll either scan or shoot it at no additional charge, and then proceed to make you some gorgeous tiles!  If mailing an original makes you nervous, then you may prefer to have a local photographer, photo lab, or reprographic house scan or shoot it instead.  They can provide you with a high resolution image on a CD that you can send to me.  Rates are usually quite reasonable.  Have them make you a color-corrected hard-copy  too, since we'll need that as well.  You are responsible for insurance options when mailing original works of art.

*If you would like me to mail or email you a handy order form to further help you with the submission process, then click the menu button that says, "Order Form w/Prices".

When you have gathered all the materials that I'll need to make your tile prints, then just mail them in!  You may also call or email me to place your order and/or to let me know that your images are coming.  I look forward to working with you!        -Dan the Tile Man
